Sustainable & environmentally friendly

As a family business, it is important to us to act sustainably and do our bit to combat climate change. Thanks to our environmentally friendly wood pellet heating system, electricity and hot water supply from solar panels and storage tanks, we can leave an ecological footprint.

In the restaurant and for our events and catering, we mainly use regional food. As a result, we were the first restaurant in the region to be certified by the regional association Kostbares Südniedersachsen e.V.. We avoid plastic wherever possible and use recyclable materials.
In our new hotel building, too, only Göttingen-based trades were commissioned and materials from the region were used, such as the sand-lime bricks from Uslar for the shell. We also do without air conditioning in our hotel and guesthouse.

We would be delighted if you would also support us in making a contribution to our ecological footprint. This can also be done on a small scale, such as separating waste in your room and being careful with heating and towels.
